Babylonstoren, Franschhoek

Babylonstoren

Babylonstoren is one of the oldest Cape Dutch farms. It has a fruit and vegetable garden of beauty and diversity, unique accommodation, fine food and a sense of wellbeing.

Vegetables and fruit are gathered daily from the garden and often served with their skins on. You certainly won’t leave feeling hungry as helpings are generous and settings are often moved around the farm depending on weather and occasion.

Guest suites are located in the Cape Dutch farm buildings; outer walls are whitewashed and decorated with ornate gables and thatched roofs, whilst interiors are pleasantly cool in summer (due to thick walls) and are heated by open hearths in winter.

Tatler Magazine named it one of their top hotels for 2012, calling it ‘the most delicious new opening of the year’.
